Govt increases power price by Rs 1.06 per unit under fuel adjustment
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved an increase in the power rate by Rs 1.06 per unit under the fuel adjustment charges.
According to a notification issued by the NEPRA on Monday, the new rate will be applicable in the bills of January. The Central Power Purchasing Agency-G (CPPA) had appealed to the NEPRA to increase the electricity rate by Rs 1.52 per unit.
The fuel adjustment charges will be received in the January bills of all consumers of DISCOs. However, the new rate will not be applicable on the consumers of K-Electric.
