Govt likely to increase gas price by 270% for domestic consumers from Nov 1

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Petroleum Division has proposed a 270 percent increase in the gas price from November 1.

According to sources, there will be no increase for first two slabs of the domestic consumers.

It has been proposed to increase the gas rate on 2 hectometer cubic from 3,733 to 4,295, 3 hectometer cubic from 738 to 1000, on 4 hectometer cubic from 14,400 to 19,495 and over 4 hectometer cubic from 25,494 to 34,622.

After approval of the Cabinet Committee on Energy, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will issue a notification regarding the increase in the gas price.
