Govt likely to increase power rate by Rs7 per unit: sources

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The government is likely to increase the power rate by Rs7 following the dialogues with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Sources said that the power rate will be increased from July 1.

They said that the power prices would also be increased in the quarterly adjustment of the next fiscal year.

On the other hand, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs4.83 per unit in the power rate for K-Electric. The increase has been made under the head of the fuel adjustment in the monthly fuel price adjustment for March.
