Govt, Opp passed Army Act for national interests, says Ch Shujaat

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-Q president Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that the government and the opposition have passed the Army Act for the national interests, not the Army. Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that harmony was created between the government and the opposition over the Army Act. “Some people in the parliament act as stooges of the foreign elements,” he said. He said that the Army Act reflects the wishes of the government and the opposition that they should keep the national interests supreme in each proposal. “The government and the opposition should not give importance to their personal interests or opposition for the sake of opposition,” he said. He expressed the hope that such harmony should be shown in each act of national interest like the Army Act.
