ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has postponed the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for six months.

Senator Mushahidullah has said that employees’ perks, pension and salaries would remain the same. “Trade unions will be considered the same. We are removing the reservations of the protesters.”

He said that no government had so much money that it may purchase a plane after putting its hands into the pocket.

“The PPP got approved the PIA privatization and now it is against the proposal,” he said.

The senator said that they had not recruited 1,100 people to the PIA.

He hoped that the strike would end on Saturday.
