Govt providing all facilities to Chinese investors in CPEC: Khalid Mansoor

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assisstant to the Prime Minister on CPEC Khalid Mansoor has said that the government is providing all facilities to Chinese investors in the China Pakistan Ecnomic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to the media on Monday, he said that rumours regarding sluggishness in CPEC are false. “Prime Minister Imran Khan will give you briefing about his historic tour to China. All preprations were completed before Imran Khan reached there. He met officials one by one,” he added.

He said that more than 500 representatives of Chinese companies participated in the meeting. “Prime Minister talked to them only in national interest. The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved Rs100 billion to Independent Power Producers (IPPs) of CPEC for reimbursement. An amount of Rs50 billion has been payed among the IPPs,” he maintained.

Khalid Mansor said that procedures and NOCs have become easier for the investment plans of Chinese in Pakistan. “Steps are being taken to resolve problems of the Chinese investors,” he concluded.
