Govt ran away from LG elections in Islamabad like general elections: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI leader Asad Umar has said that the government has run away from the local government elections in Islamabad like the general elections.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had assisted the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

He said that the PTI already knew about the verdict and for this reason, it had filed an intra-court appeal without waiting for the ECP verdict.

PTI leader Babar Awan said that the PTI will not let the rulers escape from the elections. "We will definitely dissolve the assemblies. Nawaz Sharif has put two conditions for his return – a level playing field and disqualification of Imran Khan," he maintained.
