Govt ready to hold talks with opposition on every important issue except NRO: Fawad

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said the government is ready to hold dialogue with opposition on every important issue except NRO.

Fawad Chaudhry said the parliament is the best forum to discuss the national issues and the opposition should come in the parliament to resolve public problems.

The minister said the government and opposition should sit together to resolve the national issues including terrorism, extremism and reforms in different sectors.

On the other hand, adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability, Shahzad Akbar has said opposition parties were trying to sell old narrative for acquiring national reconciliation ordinance (NRO), from the ruling party.

He said PTI government will never compromise on corruption and money laundering cases; hence Opposition’s efforts to get an NRO will badly fail.

He criticized PPP leaders for benefiting from NRO in past and owning assets in foreign countries.
