Govt registered FIR fearing popularity of Imran Khan: Shah Mahmood Qureshi

- PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the government has registered an FIR against Imran Khan, fearing his popularity in the country.

Talking to the media outside IHC on Monday, he said that the imported rulers should not become a hurdle in the way of Imran Khan.

"The government should not create political instability in the country and announce the general elections at the earliest. Political unrest is also causing economic loss," he maintained.

The PTI leader said that the people are standing with Imran Khan. "The people of Karachi have endorsed the narrative of Imran Khan. The government is shivering with fear after the first public meeting of Imran Khan," he added.

He said that the PTI had defeated the MQM and the PPP politically in Karachi. "The present government has destroyed the country," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary said that in practical there is martial law in the country. "The PDM cannot face Imran Khan politically. The government will be ousted before September 10," he predicted.
