SISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that government's policy to depend on foreign banks for getting dollars is tantamount to playing with fire.

In a statement on Friday, he said that dependence on international commercial banks is confirming their fears. "The mini-budget is unacceptable. It is a test for each parliamentarian. The allies should muster courage and utter the true word," he maintained.

He said that efforts are being made to tie up Pakistan through the mini-budget. "If the allies supported the government, they will be co-accused in the cruelty against Pakistan," he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the foreign loans have reached US$40 billion, which is dangerous. "The economy can neither be durable on the loan money nor it is a judicious policy. The philosophy of geo-economics will become a joke if the entire government system, economy and defence will stand on loans," he added.

He said that the government is creating further instability by citing lack of dollars. "Presently, the government is in dire need of wisdom, seriousness and right economic policy," he added.
