Govt starts contacting opposition leaders to stop Azadi March

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, head of the Dialogue Committee, has started contacting the opposition leaders to stop Azadi March announced by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman. Pervaiz Khattak told 92 News that the opposition's demand for the resignation of the prime minister is ridiculous and there will be no talk on it. The defence minister said that he hopes development in the talks in two-four days. "We will also soon form a committee in this regard," he added. Sources disclosed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to directly talk to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman. "The prime minister will talk to Maulana Fazalur Rahman if the Dialogue Committee wants so during the talks," they added. They said that the prime minister has directed Pervaiz Khattak to accept the justified demands of Maulana Fazalur Rahman. The sources said that Pervaiz Khattak has sent a message to Maulana Fazalur Rahman who, however, has not yet responded to the government offer.
