HYDERABAD (92 News) – Govt took a notice after a video of college clerk ‘humiliating’ student’s father in Government Boys Degree College, New Saeedabad in Matiari. The Sindh authorities summoned the college principal on Monday (tomorrow). Senior college clerk Janib Keerio was suspended after a video of him refusing to give the student’s father an admission form for the MA programme went viral on social media. The father reportedly refused to give him a bribe. In the video, the man can be seen at the clerk’s feet, begging him for the form. The Hyderabad director of colleges issued the notification on the night of October 6, saying that on the directives of the college education secretary, Keerio had been suspended. A three-member inquiry committee has also been formed to investigate the matter. The college principal, Dr Nasruddin Sheikh, is also part of the committee. On Sunday, the team visited the college to record statements. The committee will submit a report in three to four days to the director of colleges. The student’s father, who has been identified as Zafarullah Memon, however, is not coming forward to lodge a complaint. He is scared that his reporting Keerio will ensure that his son doesn’t get admission to the college.
