Govt to implement court's order against Nawaz, says caretaker minister

KARACHI (92 News) – Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Syed Ali Zafar has said that the government would write a letter to the British officials for implementing of court’s order in Avenfield property reference against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. As per details, Ali Zafar said that the government will start legal procedure from Monday for implementing the Accountability Court’s decision in Avenfield property reference. The minister said the caretaker government would also implement orders of the court regarding confiscation of property of the convict. He said that Nawaz Sharif has the right to file an appeal against the court decision. Ali Zafar said Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz would be brought back to Pakistan with the help of British government. However, he said Pakistan does not have extradition treaty with Britain. To a question, the information minister said that NAB is a constitutional institution and we cannot interfere in its affairs. To a question about Capt (Retd) Muhammad Safdar, he said NAB is taking action to arrest him. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan has no treaty with the British government of criminal conversion. In this way many questions raised, if Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will not come back to country, how could they be arrested? It has been further said that the National Accountability Court (NAB) will get arrests warrants of the accused in Avenfield reference.
