Govt trying to affect SC verdict, says Shahzad Waseem

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Opposition Leader in the Senate Shahzad Waseem has said that the government is trying to affect the verdict of the Supreme Court.

Expressing his views in the Senate on Monday, he said that the rulers are fearful of the elections. "The government will commit the contempt of court if the court verdict is not implemented," he opined.

Shahzad Waseem said that the nation is standing with the SC. "An important case is being heard in the SC. Today will have a great impact on the politics of the country," he added.

He said that the government is giving the impression of refusing the SC verdict. "There is a flour crisis in the country. The judiciary has been attacked in the past. Now the attack is being carried out on the Supreme Court through the parliament," he added.
