Govt upholds petroleum prices for October

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Asad Umar announced that the federal government will uphold prices of petroleum products for the month of October. Talking to the media in Bani Gala on Saturday, he said that the current prices of petroleum products will remain in effect for the month of October. He said that the government does not want to burden the masses. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had earlier recommended Rs4 per litre hike in prices of petrol and high speed diesel. It had also recommended increasing the rates of kerosene oil and light diesel by as much as Rs3 per litre. Earlier, Finance Minister Asad Umar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and briefed the latter about economic affairs.
