Govt will hold general elections under new census, announces Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Planning Asad Umar announced that the government will hold the general elections under the new census.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, the work on census will start after approval of the Council of Common Interests (CCIs). "The government will first time hold the census by using technology. There will be no hanky-panky," he added.

He said that the Sindh government had collected the data of the census and staged the protests. "Imran Khan will be the prime minister for the second term," he maintained.

Asad Umar said that the Centre had launched five big projects in Karachi. "The Green Line project has been completed. Forty buses will reach Karachi by next week. The Karachi Circular railway project will start before September 30," he added.

He said that water would be supplied to Karachi under K-4 project. "The work to remove encroachments have been completed in Mahmoodabad. Sewerage, roads and pavements will be made after removing garbage from big drains," he declared.
