Govt will put in efforts to resolve all genuine problems of Journalists' community: Shibli

ISLAMABAD (92 News) Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz has said all the economic indicators are showing positive growth which manifests the fact that the government has put the economy in the right direction.

Speaking at the Meet the Editors programme in Karachi at the Secretariat of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors, he said there is significant growth in foreign reserves and foreign direct investment, with decline in the current account deficit and improvement in the large scale manufacturing sector. 

Shibli Faraz said efforts will be made to promote the country’s soft image across the world by utilizing the services of artists in this regard.

He said the opposition alliance' narrative has no solid grounds, in fact they are trying to create uncertainty and chaos in the country in a bid to divert the people’s attention from the corruption cases being faced by their leadership.

To a question, the minister said the Centre will provide every possible support to Sindh government for the development of the province.

Referring to his meetings with the journalist community in Karachi, he said most of their problems were genuine and the government will put in efforts to resolve them.

Earlier, CPNE Secretary General Jabbar Khattak, in his welcome address, appreciated the government for transparency in the distribution of advertisements among the newspapers.
