Govt will withdraw appeals against FSC verdict to end interest-based banking system: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has announced that the government will withdraw the appeals against the verdict of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC) to end the interest-based banking system.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said that the government is advancing the Islamic banking system.

"The standard to decide on the issue is Quran and Sunnah. We want to fast take ahead the interest-free banking system," he maintained.

Ishaq Dar said that the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank will give Pakistan more US$500 million.
