Govt withdraws Kissan Package on power rates

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The government has withdrawn the Kissan Package on the power rates, implementing a condition imposed by the International Monetary Fund.

According to a notification issued by the Energy Ministry, the government has ended the concessional package of Rs3.60 for farmers.

The government had announced the concessional package for farmers on November 29, 2022.

On the other hand, the government has also withdrawn the concession on the power rates for zero-rated industries.
