Grand Health Alliance refuses to treat any arrested lawyer, issue MLC
LAHORE (92 News) – The Grand Health Alliance (GHA) on Friday announced not to treat any arrested lawyer at Mayo Hospital and issue a medico-legal certificate (MLC) for him.
Addressing a press conference, the GHA office-bearers threatened to stop work across the province if the government or any minister forced them to treat the arrested lawyer.
On the other hand, doctors and paramedics continued the strike against the PIC incident in several hospitals across the province.
Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) remained closed for the second day since the lawyers’ attack.
Work could not be started in Emergency, Outdoor Patients Department (OPD) and Indoor. Owing to closure of the PIC, patients are suffering for unavailability of treatment.
The work to restore the building and machines is continuing.
