Gujrat corruption case: Ch Pervaiz Elahi remanded in NAB custody for six days

LAHORE (92 News) - An accountability court on Tuesday remanded PTI president Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for six days on Tuesday.

Earlier, a NAB team had produced the PTI president in court.

The NAB prosecutor told court that Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi had released a huge amount of Rs 72 billion for specific constituencies in Gujrat. He contended that Moonis Elahi, son of Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, had settled kickbacks with the contractors.

Meanwhile, the court accepted the plea for running the case till judgments of the High Court and the Supreme Court.

His counsel appealed to court to allow Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi to undergo a medical examination and take meal from home.
