ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he had much earlier told that the corrupt mafia would take to streets. During meetings with the Dialogue Committee and government spokesmen on Tuesday, he said that the corrupt mafia wants to create uncertainty and chaos in the country. “The objective of the corrupt mafia is to defend their interest and corruption,” he said. He said that there would be no talks on his resignations and new elections. “We want to resolve the matter politically,” he said. The prime minister said that the government has a reform agenda. “The introduction of reforms is a difficult phase, but not impossible,” he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the current account deficit had reduced by 32 percent. “We inherited the current account deficit of US$20. Last year, the current deficit was US$13, which has been brought to US$7,” he claimed. He said that the corrupt mafia knows very well that the government’s success would shut their political shops. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed about the dialogues with the Rahbar Committee. He was also informed about the suggestions presented to the Rahbar Committee. He was told that strategy was being devised to hold talks with the Rahbar Committee. On the other hand, Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that there were bright chances of development on talks. “A meeting between the Dialogue Committee and Rahbar Committee was a step towards improvement. Some time is required for more consultation,” he said. He said that the PML-Q agrees with the imposition of the Islamic sections. “Matters pertaining to the election reforms have yet to be settled,” he said. Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that he was hopeful of the success of the talks.
