ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh had depicted an unseen picture of the economy. Reacting to Hafeez Sheikh’s speech in the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said that flour price had increased to Rs70 from Rs40 per kg, while the sugar rate had reached Rs90 from Rs53 per kg. “A robbery amounting to Rs60 billion has been committed from January to till now. A parliamentary committee should be formed to look into the matter,” he said. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that these mafias had borne the expenditures of the prime minister. “We cannot ignore the facts. No place will be spared if the people took to streets,” he added. He said that some ministers are in agony due to LNG. “I am ready to face a parliamentary committee in this regard,” he added. The PML-N said that he was waiting when Fawad Chaudhary would take them to the moon. “No minister could deliver during one and a half years. Only shopping bags vanished from Islamabad and the credit goes to minister concerned. Each minister is an expert at other’s work,” he said. He said that the people were daily paying Rs2 billion under the head of flour and sugar. “I predict that the country’s loan will be doubled if the government completes its five years,” he added.
