Hajj applications to be received from 17th to 26th, balloting on 28th

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The cabinet on Wednesday approved the Hajj Policy 2017, while the applications will be received from April 17 to 26.

Addressing a press conference, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that Pakistan’s quota of 189,000 pilgrims has been restored.

“Those performing Hajj will be eligible to submit applications after seven years,” he said.

The minister announced that 60 percent pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government quota while 40 percent pilgrims will perform Hajj under the private quota.

He said that no person will perform Hajj free of cost. “107,526 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government quota, while 71,684 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the private quota.”

Sardar Yousaf said that balloting for the Government Hajj Scheme will be held on April 28.
