Hammad Azhar says critics in fact had destroyed economy

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar has claimed that the people criticizing the government had in fact destroyed economy. Reacting to the opposition’s response to increase in the prices of petrol, electricity and daily-use items on Thursday, he said that former finance minister Ishaq Dar should not teach them a lesson. He said that the government had not decided the rate of a dollar with the IMF. “There will be a problem for non-filers in the coming days,” he said. He claimed that deficits are reducing at a fast pace. The minister said that the government wants to give an opportunity to the people evading the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He said that an amnesty scheme would be announced before the budget under the Amnesty Scheme Ordinance. “The government has traced 11,500 foreign accounts through which US$11 billion.” Hammad Azhar said that the PML-N government had stabilized the rupee by getting a loan of US$24 billion.
