Hamza appears before FIA Lahore, submitts written reply to investigation team

LAHORE (92 News) - Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz appeared before the FIA Lahore in Sugar Mills money laundering case and submitted a written reply to the investigation team on Wednesday.

The PML-N leader replied that in the case of NAB, he was bound for 22 months, not a single case of corruption or money laundering could be proved. "The FIA made a false statement about me in the last hearing and ran it in the media. The FIA investigation team interrogated me in Kot Lakhpat prison on December 17, 2020, giving detailed answers to the questions asked. Why did the FIA decide to investigate further six months later?," he added.

Hamza Shahbaz said why is it that after my bail, the FIA started investigation with reference to the allegations made in the NAB reference. "The NAB thoroughly investigated all my assets and found no irregularities," he added.

PML-N's Uzma Bukhari said that our morale could not be lowered by placing obstacles. During the appearance of Hamza Shahbaz, the PML-N members were stopped by the police from going beyond the obstacles. The PML-N also clashed with police on the occasion.
