Hamza interrogated for use of govt’s funds in Ramzan Sugar mills case

LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday interrogated Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz about using the government’s fund in Ramzan Sugar mills case. According to the details, Hamza Shehbaz appeared before the corruption watchdog office in Lahore. It was reported that anti-graft watchdog asked questions from Hamza Shehbaz related to Ramzan Sugar Mills case. He was asked about the fake survey to make opinion of people. It said that the NAB questioned about the releasing of governmental funds for the Ramzan Sugar Mills on the directives of former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif. The anti-graft watchdog body also showed him documents regarding the case against the mills administration. Meanwhile, Hamza Shehbaz replied that he is unaware about all the matters.
NAB summons Hamza Shehbaz in assets case tomorrow
On the other hand, the NAB summoned the Opposition Leader on April 16 (tomorrow) in a case pertaining to assets beyond known sources of income. The NAB issued a notice to Hamza Shehbaz at his residence in Model Town area of Lahore. Sources said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader was directed to come up with details of tax return from 2006 to 2008. The anti-graft watchdog, in the wake of a sharp increase in his assets during 2005-2017, directed Hamza Shehbaz to provide details of his sources of income. NAB also asked Hamza to submit details of gifts which were presented to  him since 2005. The sources said that anti-graft watchdog asked total eight questions from Hamza Shehbaz.
Hamza Shehbaz likely to be arrested on April 17: Shahzad Akbar
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (PM) on Accountability Shahzad Akbar said on Monday that Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly will likely to be arrested on April 17 after cancellation of his interim bail. Expressing his views, during an exclusive interview with 92 News programme “Ho Kya Raha hai”, Shahzad Akbar hoped that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will select the best prosecutor in case against Shehbaz Sharif family and Hamza Shehbaz. The special assistant to PM once again criticized the Lahore High Court’s decision of granting pre-arrest bail to Hamza Shebaz. Shahzad Akbar said that Hamza Shehbaz got a unusual relief from the court.  “The laws of corruption watchdog body are liable for everyone so the pre-arrest bail cannot be granted for such a long period,” he added.
