LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz Sharif led a protest outside the Punjab Assembly along with the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) lawmakers on Friday. The Punjab Assembly will meet today to discuss its budget. However, assembly secretariat issued the pictures of six members – who broke the assets of assembly in previous session – of the opposition and these MPAs were not allowed to enter in the today’s session. The protest was staged as the Punjab Assembly speaker had barred entry of lawmakers from PML-N for creating disturbance in the house during the previous session; the politicians include Tariq Masih Gill, Yaseen Amir, Ashraf Rasul, Zaibun Nisa, Mirza Javed and Malik Waheed. The opposition staged a protest outside the assembly, saying that the MPAs should be allowed to attend. Talking to the journalists, Hamza Shehbaz alleged that that Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi is a ‘Thanedar’ and incompetent in maintaining the decorum of the house. He threatened to not attend the Punjab Assembly session whenever the membership of suspended PML-N workers will not be restored. The budget session continued without the presence of PML-N members of the provincial assembly. Meanwhile, the PML-N workers are protesting on the stairs of the assembly. Hamza Shehbaz said, “We will stage a massive protest if our members are insulted in this manner. The PML-N leaders raised slogans against Prime Minister Imran Khan and the incumbent government for arrest of former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif. He also claimed that not a single evidence was presented in the case in which Shehbaz Sharif was taken into custody by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). As per sources, the PML-N leaders are well planned of conspiracy to create chaos and disturbance in Punjab Assembly. Earlier in previous session, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar presented the Rs2.03 trillion budget and leader of the opposition Hamza Shahbaz will present his reservations on Friday.
