Lahore DG NAB tenders written apology over handcuffing of PU teachers

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar heard the suo motu notice of handcuffing former Punjab University vice-chancellor Mujahid Kamran and five registrars by the National Accountability Bureau. He expressed his indignation at the NAB act and sought an apology from the DG NAB and other officers. “Under which law, you have insulted the teachers,” he questioned the Lahore DG NAB Saleem Shahzad who appeared in court. He remarked that the court order a case against the Lahore DG NAB if he is guilty. “Later, you will have to get bails in the case.” At this, the Lahore DG NAB started weeping. He said that he had apologized to Mujahid Kamran and other teachers. The CJP remarked that he would not tolerate teachers’ insult. “After watching the video, I phoned the NAB chief who showed his ignorance about the matter,” he said.
