Haqqani network commander killed in drone strike in Afghanistan

SARWAZA (92 News) – Sarajuddin Khademi, a Haqqani network facilitator who was providing weapons for insurgents, was killed in a drone strike in southeastern Paktika province on Thursday, the provincial governor's office said in a statement. The drone strike took place in Sarwaza district of the province and some weapons were also destroyed in the strike. There were no civilians casualties recorded. However, the statement did not provide more details about the drone strike. Sirajuddin Khademi, said to be a logistics commander of the dreaded Haqqani network and member of the Quetta Shura in the southeastern Afghan province of Paktika.
