ISLAMABAD (92 News) – In the latest development in the investigation of PIA plane crash incident of Dec 7, the Civil Aviation has received the report of black box of the plane. Briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Thursday, Aviation Secretary Irfan Ilahi said that both the engines of the plane were 100 per cent functioning during the take off. According to the report of the black box, the pilot made the first call at 4:12. The pilot’s voice was completely fine during the first call. The pilot made the May Day call two minutes after the first call. At 4:14, the pilot told that one of the engines has stopped working. The plane moved towards East instead of South. The pilot made the last call at 4:17. The information regarding the plane crashed was received after ten to 15 minutes. The data of the black box was not lost. According to the black box, the plane did not make any attempt to land. All the debris of the plane has been shifted to Islamabad. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had used the same plane to visit Gwadar a week before the crash. Investigations are underway on how the plane met an accident despite no functional problem in the engine, the secretary said.
