Hazarganji like conspiracies failed to create wedge in our society: President

QUETTA (92 News) – President Arif Alvi on Tuesday termed that Hazarganji like conspiracies have failed to create a wedge in our society. Dr Arif Alvi met with the bereaved families of the martyrs of Hazarganji terrorist attack in Quetta today and offered fateha for the departed souls. Condoling with the victims' families, the president said it is the responsibility of the state to protect its citizens. The president said the entire nation stands by Hazara community in this hour of grief.
President reaffirms commitment to implement NAP
Dr Arif Alvi reaffirmed the fedral government’s commitment to implementing National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit. Speaking to the journalists after condoling with the victim families of the Hazarganji blast, the president said more work needs to be done towards enforcement of the NAP, adding the federal government stands with the provincial government for resorting peace in the province. He lauded the Balochistan government’s announcing a compensation package for the victims of the attack. He said no amount of compensation could make up for the loss of one’s dear ones. He said it is the responsibility of the state to protect the lives of its people. The president said despite many challenges, the Pakistani nation stands united and announced that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon visit Balochistan.
Enemies want Pakistan to be placed on black list: Shehryar
Earlier, on April 15, members of the Hazara community ended their sit-in against the terror attack in Quetta following an assurance by Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi to bring the perpetrators to justice at the earliest.
His visit came amid strong protest of the families along with scores of Hazara community members, who were demanding to arrest the culprits and provision of security for their families. Addressing a victims’ family in Hazarganji, Shehryar Afridi said that attempts are being made to spread anarchy in the country. “There is no doubt that the Hazara community has been subjected to severe cruelty,” he added. State Minister for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that Pakistan’s enemies want the country to be placed on the black list. “We are standing shoulder-by-shoulder with you in every difficulty and trial, he assured the Hazara community and asserting that the state will take action against those responsible for the Hazarganji attack. “The state will take every possible step for the elimination of terrorism and is also taking measures to protect all our borders,” he added. “Pakistan’s enemies want the country to be placed on the black list. We will go to any extent to take elements involved in terrorism to their logical conclusion,” Afridi stressed.
