Health card is a big scandal, says Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI (92 News) – Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab has said that the health card is a big scandal. The Sehat card is a proof that the federal government could not provide quality healthcare facilities.

Talking to the media on Monday, he said that it is a project to bestow the favourite people of the government. “The government has introducted a way to to facilitate private hospitals and its ATMs. The government does not want to make solid decisions.”

Murtaza Wahab said that the Sindh government had brought betterment in government hospitals. "People get free and quality medical facility in our hospitals. The NICOD provided medical facility to 1.8 million people within one year,” he added.

The Karachi administrator said that from all across the country the people come to Gambat Hospital for liver transplant. “It costs Rs4 million for the transplant. 550 patients were provided free liver transplant in this hospital.”

He said that the Sindh government had spent Rs 820 million on the PET scan of complex diseases.
