Health Dept confirms presence of UK coronavirus variant in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Health Department has confirmed the presence of the United Kingdom coronavirus variant in Pakistan.

In a notification on Saturday, the Health Department said that Pakistan was among 92 countries where the coronavirus variant was present.

On the other hand, 33 people died of coronavirus while 1,315 new cases of infection were reported across the country during the last 24 hours.

According the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), the total number of deaths due to the virus have soared to 12,837. As many as 39,086 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours.

The total numbers of confirmed cases of virus infection 21,554 across the country, Of them, the condition of 153 patients is stated to be critical.
