Heart of Asia conference: FM Qureshi boycotts Indian minister’s speech

ISTANBUL (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi recorded his protest during the speech of Indian minister and boycotted the speech and walked out of the Heart of Asia conference. It is pertinent to mention here that FM Qureshi is in Turkey for attending the Heart of Asia conference and he boycotted the speech due to the Indian brutalities in Indian Occupied Kashmir. FM Qureshi left the conference when the Indian minister started to deliver his speech during the conference. He added that Indian government has suspended communication and internet in the occupied valley. On the sideline of the conference, the foreign minister held key meetings with the Asian leaders.
FM praises Erdogan over Kashmir stance
Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on Turkish President Rajab Tayyab Erdogan at the sidelines of the Heart of Asia Conference in Istanbul. FM Qureshi hailed the stance, Turkey has taken against Indian brutalities in IoK and said that Erdogan’s voice over suppression of Kashmiris at the hands of state-authorities have given them a great courage. The two discussed the bilateral relations between the countries and current situation faced by the entire region. FM Qureshi conveyed congratulatory message from the top Pakistani political leadership to the Turkish President over holding the successful conference. The minister also thanked Erdogan for holding the conference and welcoming the country’s delegates with full honour in the conference. The Turk president also conveyed his best wishes for the President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan. The 8th Ministerial Conference of Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process – which aims to promote peace in Afghanistan – was convened on Monday at Dolmabahce Palace under ‘Peace, Partnership, Prosperity’ theme.
