Heavy fog covers different areas of Punjab, KPK

LAHORE (92 News) – Heavy fog has covered the areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) while several sections of Motorway have been closed.

According to Motorway spokesman, Motorway sections from Lahore to Sialkot (M11), Lahore t Darkhana (M3) and from Thokar Niaz Baig to Pindi Bhattian M2 have been closed due to heavy fog.

Meanwhile, in Ali Pur Chatta and in its surroundings traffic is facing difficulties due to zero visibility.

On the other hand, a truck had an accident in Arif wala. As many as one person died in accident and two are severe injured. Rescue teams have shifted injured and dead bodies to nearby hospital.

Motorway Police SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal said that Motorway has been closed considering people’s safety. “People are recommended to avoid unnecessary travel and make use of fog lights during travel,” he added.
