Heavy rain lashes in Lahore, roads flooded

LAHORE (92 News) – A few minutes of heavy rain in Lahore opened the administration's performance on Sunday here. The heavy rain lashed in Lahore as the city roads gave a look of canals after rain shower which started around 1:00pm. Although, rain brought down temperature to a pleasant range but at the same time left several areas flooded in parts of country including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad and other regions. Several roads in the city, including Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Garhi SHahu, Mall Road including deep areas were submerged under three to four feet of rainwater. Dozens of motorcycles and cars were trapped on flooded roads and people faced hardship in reaching their homes. Many inbound flights of the Pakistan International Airlines and other private airlines were delayed due to bad weather and heavy rains in Lahore. For the next 24 hours, the Met office has forecast further rain-thundershower with gusty winds at scattered places in in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
