Heavy rains, flash-floods continue to play havoc in Chitral, Southern Punjab, Northern Sindh

KARACHI/PESHAWAR/LAHORE (92 News) - Countrywide torrential rains and floods are continuing their devastation from Chitral to Sindh including Southern Punjab areas on Sunday. As per details, the rains and floods have left over 30 dead in Pakistan, affecting more than 250,000 people, with swollen Jhelum and Indus rivers damaging hundreds of villages in Sindh and Punjab. On Sunday, 15 people died in Rojhan as the boat carrying them overturned, drowning all the people on board. Meanwhile, 40 more villages of Ghotki were submerged due to flood waters, also cutting of land connection to more than 170 villages in the district. Also, the water level in the Guddu barrage was rising on Sunday with fears also rising of flooding in the region. Livestock and people have also been swept away in the Balochistan and in Kashmir region.
