High chances of Eid on Saturday; Central moon-sighting committee to meet tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A meeting of the central moon-sighting committee headed by Mufti Muneebur Rehman will take place in Islamabad on Friday for Eid moon sighting. As per details, the zonal and district committees will hold their meetings at their respective sighting locations simultaneously. Official of meteorological and other concerned departments will also attend the meeting to provide technical assistance to the committee. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, there is high chance for sighting of Shawwal crescent on Friday. In that case, Eidul Fitr will fall on Saturday.
