Hilly areas receive snowfall after two days

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The mountainous areas across the country received snowfall after two days on Wednesday. Skardu received 3-5 inches snowfall, creating problems for the people. Moreover, thick clouds hovered over Peshawar. According to the Met Office, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect northern areas of the country. Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain with light snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Cold/Cloudy weather with chances of drizzle at isolated places in Rawalpindi division and Islamabad during the period. Weather Forecast for Thursday Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Shallow foggy conditions are expected at a few places in south Punjab and upper Sindh.
