Hospitals to face massive pressure due to hike in Corona cases by end of April: PM

QUETTA (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan expressed fear that hospitals will face massive pressure due to likely surge in Corona cases by the end of this month. Speaking to members of Balochistan’s provincial cabinet and parliaments in Quetta on Thursday, the prime minister said that the impact of lockdown will badly effect on Balochsitan. Imran Khan also said the federal and provincial governments are working in cohesion to cope with the situation arising out of coronavirus. PM Khan also expressed fear that hospitals will face immense pressure due to likely surge in COVID-19 cases by the end of this month, urging the nation to demonstrate unity to mitigate adverse impacts of Coronavirus. The premier maintained that the decision about easing the countrywide lockdown will be taken after seeking inputs from all the provinces on 14th of this month. He further said that National Command and Control Center is minutely observing the Coronavirus situation across the country. Earlier, PM Imran Khan visited corona quarantine center at Bolan Medical College Hospital Quetta. He was accompanied by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri and Yar Muhammad Rind. The Balochistan chief secretary briefed the premier about the isolation ward and quarantine center. Later, Governor Balochistan Justice (retired) Amanullah Khan and Provincial Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan also called on PM Khan in Quetta today.
