Hot weather spell continues across country

KARACHI (92 News) – Various parts of the country continued to experience an intense wave of heat on Sunday ,with the mercury hitting the 37 degree Celsius mark. The heat wave has gripped the metropolis and the citizens disrupted due to the high temperature while emergency has been imposed in government hospitals. According to the met office, the current intense heat wave will continue to prevail across the country. However, very hot weather is likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh and its adjoining areas. Weather conditions are due to the change in the wind direction as well as the sea breeze coming to a standstill. However, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is likely at isolated places of Malakand and Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The medical experts have advised people to take precautions in order to keep themselves safe from the heat. People should avoid going out from their homes and offices unless important and keep a wet handkerchief at all times.
