LAHORE (92 News) - Tall claims of ending loadshedding during Sehar and Iftar timings by the government proved false when the very first dawn of the holy month of Ramazan plunged into darkness in various areas across the country. Distressed by the prolonged spans of power outages, the distraught people took to streets in protest against the government in different cities including Swabi, Charsadda and Shabqadar. The infuriated protesters set on fire grid station and offices of PESCO in Charsadda. sdfasd The police personnel baton-charged the rampaging demonstrators and fired shells on them that left two protesters injured in Charsadda. Meantime, various areas of Karachi and Lahore remained in dark posing troubles to people in Sehri arrangements. Also, citizens in Jackoababad, Naseerabad, Nawabshah, Kasur, Multan and Attock remained afflicted with power outages around Sehri time. Yesterday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities to ensure the uninterrupted power supply during Sehri and Iftar timings. Acting on the premier’s directives, the Ministry of Water and Power issued a schedule for load-shedding for Ramazan, announcing uninterrupted supply during the times.
