Hours-long power outages during Sehar; Govt claims exposed

LAHORE (92 News) - Tall claims of ending loadshedding during Sehar and Iftar timings by the government proved false when the the holy month of Ramazan continues plunge into darkness in various areas across the country. Various areas of Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi remained in dark posing troubles to people in Sehri arrangements. Also, citizens in rural areas remained afflicted with power outages around Sehri time. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had directed the authorities to ensure the uninterrupted power supply during Sehri and Iftar timings. Acting on the premier’s directives, the Ministry of Water and Power issued a schedule for load-shedding for Ramazan, announcing uninterrupted supply during the times.
