Hundreds admitted to hospital with mysterious disease in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A mysterious disease spreading from mosquitoes has worried people as hundreds of people have contracted the disease. The disease crippling the joints of hands and feet is prevalent in Malir and hundreds of patients have been admitted in government and private hospitals. The World Health Organization (WHO) and Provincial Minister for Health have refused to declare the mysterious disease Chikungunya. As many as 1900 patients have been admitted to the Sindh government hospital in Saudabad during the last three days. Sindh Health Minister Sikandar Mandhro said that there is no Chikungunya outbreak in Malir, adding that blood samples of people suffering from mysterious disease have been sent to laboratory for test.
