Hundreds held in combing operations countrywide

LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR (92 News) – Hundreds of suspects were arrested on Sunday after law-enforcement agencies conducted combing operations across the country following a new wave of terror which left several dead and many others injured. At least 12 suspects were arrested in Lahore, and 54 in Chiniot and Vehari, while 9 people were taken into custody in Sargodha. In Islamabad, police have arrested 53 suspects, including 14 Afghan nationals. Drugs and arms and ammunition were also recovered from them. More than 60 others including foreigners were rounded up from Karachi’s different areas. Afghan nationals were also among the arrested suspects. Arms, ammunitions and drugs were also recovered from the detained suspects. Police, Rangers and other security forces personnel took part in the operations.
