SRINAGAR (92 News) – The Hurriyat Conference leaders, including Syed Ali Geelani, Mir Waiz, Yasin Malik and Malik Shabbir, were placed under house arrest and not the authorities did not allow them to offer the Eid prayers on Saturday, 92 News reported. After their house arrest, Kashmiri youth took to the streets in Srinagar. Police used batons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. They also engaged the security forces in pitched battles. They chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. At some places in Srinagar city, youths waved Pakistan flags.
