I am here to lead from the front, break the shackles of fear for my workers: Imran Khan

KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said he is in the metropolis to lead from the front and break the shackles of fear for his party workers. Imran Khan was addressing a press conference at PTI’s candidate for NA-246 by-poll Imran Ismail. Imran Khan demanded presence of Army/Rangers personnel inside and outside polling stations for the by-poll on April 23. “I have heard people have been asked to pelt tomatoes and eggs at me. I will visit Jinnah Ground tomorrow. I am ready for any kind of reception. This election is important for people of Karachi that they see there's a viable alternative out there.” He said PTI will try to convince Jamat-e-Islami to withdraw its candidate and support Imran Ismail. “I am here to break the shackles of fear,” he said. Earlier, addressing party workers in Hyderabad, Imran Khan congratulated the Pakistanis on the establishment of the judicial commission, saying that it is first time that a judicial commission has been formed in the country to probe rigging in general elections 2013. He said PTI will interact with intellectuals of Sindh. “We want maximum input from you. Sindh needs change the most.” The PTI chief said: “We must bring merit in every department to be successful. I don’t see any development in Sindh despite getting funding. The power devolution is a must and it will happen through the local government elections.” He said that the PTI is conducting local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the people will soon see the change. Imran said that peace will be restored in Karachi after depoliticizing the police. He called for empowering the people so they can improve there living. He said that he will spend his most of time in Sindh as the judicial commission has been established. The PTI chief said that all the status quo parties have joined against the party of change. He started his Sindh tour by visiting the shrine of Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
