I am shocked at false allegations levelled against me: Jahangir Tareen
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PTI leader Jahangir Tareen has said that he is shocked at the kind of false allegations levelled against him. Reacting to the Sugar Inquiry Commission report, he said: “I have always run a clean business. All Pakistan knows I always pay full price to my growers. I do not maintain two sets of books. I pay all my taxes diligently. I will answer every allegation and be vindicated, Insha Allah.” https://twitter.com/JahangirKTareen/status/1263457965362884608?s=20 According to the 347-page report published by the Sugar Inquiry Commission on Thursday, the mills in collaboration with brokers and agents increased the sugar price and showed the price more than the production. The mills made profit through gambling, profiteering and ‘benami’ sale. The report says Jahangir Tareen, Khusru Bakhtiar’s brother, the Sharif family and Omni Group and other families made the profit. The report recommended criminal cases against the people involved in the scandal and recovery of amounts from them.
