SUKKUR (92 News) – Responding anti-encroachment operation, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah said that if Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence could be regularised, so other places may also be regulated in Karachi. Talking to the journalists on Sunday, the PPP leader asserted that the parliament will not function if Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s production order is cancelled. He asserted that the Parliament cannot function without an opposition leader. Criticizing to the PTI government, Khursheed said, “It is our collective responsibility to take decisions which will bring improvement. If the government wants accountability, it should also hold its ministers accountable.” The PPP leader further said the government seems happy with the money it has borrowed from other countries. “No house or factory runs on loans. Pakistan only received money as a deposit and we cannot even touch the money.” Lashing out on the mini-budget presented by the PTI-led government, the former opposition leader in National Assembly said that the budget was aimed to fulfill the promises made to industrialists. Ask the poor about the mini-budget who have been reeling under the burden of inflation. He further said that no relief has been given in the agriculture sector. He asked that was power tariff reduced? He also lamented that the gas prices have been increased by up to 143 per cent.
Khursheed asks PM to apologise to nation over Sahiwal incident
Earlier, PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to tender an apology to the nation over Sahiwal incident. Speaking to the journalists, Khursheed Shah termed the alleged encounter in Sahiwal as state terrorism. “The Sahiwal incident depicts the government’s apathy. To term those killed in the incident terrorists is incorrect,” he said
Khursheed seeks ministers’ resignation
The PPP leader said he was dismayed at the federal and provincial ministers’ statements over the incident and suggested that those talking about turning Pakistan into a Medina state shouldn’t issue such remarks.
